Welcome

Hey people welcome to my site. From now on you will be able to keep up to date with everything going on in my life.
Well I suppose a bit of backround information would be a good place to start.
I'm Eoin but I'm known in the music and drama circles as Murf or Stone. I started singing at about 3.25am on the 9th of april 1978 and haven't stopped since. When I got a "Surprise"( I found it in the attic 2 months earlier) Christmas gift of a guitar about 18 years ago the world didn't know what it was lettiing itself in for.
Months of hibernations later I emerged from my bedroom a rock god (Ya right!!!!!).
I started writing songs in my mid teens around the same time as I "stared" in my first musical "Grease". Of course they were brilliant pieces of art. Songs about Love , Peace , Politics really cut it in a world full of such happiness so I thought fuck it I'm off to have a good time .
After five years of having a good time and seeing the world (Glasgow , Dusselldorf and Castlelyons) I picked up my thrusty six stringed friend again and formed my first band.
Coming up with a name was left to our blues lovin, child of seventies , lead player Steve . What a mistake that was , come on like for fuck sake. "Deep River Mud".We lasted all of two gig's .
Then there was "Head Rush" a good four piece with an attitude to rehearsal that was none existant.Confidence at a new level I again say screw that and went in a new direction.
A local group were looking for performers for a musical production in the local hall and me being the shy retiring type took all of 30 seconds to convince this is the thing for me. I have to say it was a great move and four years later with over a dozen show's under my belt here I am.
Recently I've gone back writing and this time it is actually music worth listening to.
My new band " Motif" is just getting off the ground and I'm so excited to be working with Mandy aka "Miss Motif. Mandy is one of the best up and coming D.J./singers on the scene and has spent the last year or so touring with the Heinenken Thirst tour alongside Tiesto , Pete Tong and Paul Oakenfield . Her new acoustic album is going well and we hope to hit the world scene in the next few weeks.
As for show's , I wasted the last six weeks working on Blood Brothers as the Narrator only for the show to be pulled today due to copyright restrictions.(Fuckin disaster).
So thats you all up to date with me.
Talk soon
Murf
